Sean,

I like your paint booth. Can you explain what it's made out of?

Hey All!
Sorry for the long wait, but here it goes.
The booth is a dust-free enviroment (or so the county would call it) and not a "paint booth" Paint booths require special permits and etc.. Our dust free facility is made of 1.5 inch PVC supported inside by wooden dowls and covered in cheap disposable plastic tarps. the floor is tarps too, so they are disposable as well. we try to keep the hangar as clean as possible.. It has a large floor mounted vacuum that pulls the door shut when on, cycling clean air in.

As for the caution tag, here it is. Does anybody else have one of these? Are they repoped? should we get some made?

Thanks for all the comments guys! I'm still hoping to get the reproduction label made. Who has access to water-liftoff technology?

I will post more updates soon.

Thanks,
Sean

Peter,
That plane is actually a Stinson L-5, the one in my signature. We are doing a parallel restoration on it with the jeep. (though all the focus seems to be in the jeep since we are almost done). I promise more pictures tomorrow of mg progress!!

Sean,

There are a few print shops that can produce water-transfer decals. If you are not successful, I think the local print shop here can create a template and reprocuce the decal using the photograph and Bill's specs.

Hey all,
Farrel, I think we need to talk about getting those made.

So, it may look like I have gone in reverse, but I have been making progress. Recently I tinned all the appropriate areas (or so I think) and re-painted the frame an all my parts using the Rapco 33070, I find I like their paint color better than most others, so I decided to change it. This gave me a good opportunity to re-do my engine and accessories to the correct colors and Finish. I have been restoring this Jeep for almost 10 years (college seems to take a lot of your free time) and I have learned a lot in the process. Also, my techniques have gotten better as far as repair and painting. So, here is my update. The drums are off and I am getting originals turned and repaired. I am re-working my hubs to give them a better look. I am also re-doing my combat rims and fixing the bad tags on some. So, I decided to sell my tires and use the money to go toward some nice new Goodyear NDT's. All in all, I would say that I am getting closer to driving it day by day. The funny thing is, I got the jeep before I could drive, and I never drove it before I decided to tear it apart.. I hope to drive this thing for the first time in my life soon. Who wants to come up and give me a hand getting it together??
