Does anyone have any of the later antenna brackets as shown in the photos? The ones for the M-38A1.

Yes!

Also the right side rear mounting holes barely pass to the right of the body seam and the slot does not come close to indexing the single screw head on a M38A1.

I also have a third style bracket, not shown in the above photos, that mounts up against the trailer socket and perfectly indexes the single screw head on a M38A1

Am interested, am contemplating removing the AB-449 and installing the MP-50 type, but am hesitant to drill holes in the body I installed NOS.

Still looking for the later version of the SC-C-28591 Antenna Bracket for the M-38A1. Anyone have any NOS?

MY AN/VRC-10 AND ANTENNA

Postby Ben Dover » Mon Dec 05, 2011 8:52 pm

It is installed on the passenger side. Reason for tire mounted antenna, to avoid drilling holes in the side of my M-38A1. Radio is NOS.

As far as I can tell. The Tag has a SC number, but I have no idea how to check out all applications. Identical mounting holes are found on other antenna mounting brackets. This one is GI Issue, but I am sure that the shops that engrave plastic nameplates can duplicate them.
Will measure up the tag and post them for you.
