Re: PE-95 For Sale (Long Island NY)
I have no idea what to ask in terms of a price. I am in Florida and the unit is in NY, so I will have to see if I have any photos in the cloud and if I do I will post them
But it looks like any other with very little wear and tear as it has always been indoors.
It has good oil pressure, no smoke, does not overheat. It has new armored ignition wires and plugs.
Fuel pump quit a couple years ago and I purchased a new Solex carb that is not installed but I have the needed studs. The Solex and the fine original carb are included, naturally. I was going to install one of this little solid state 6 volt 2 psi electric fuel pumps but never got to it.
It would start right up with a battery and temporary gravity feed.

Found some pix. Don't think I have any of the unit itself. The hour meter reads 357 hours and might be as high as 400 now (estimate).

I'm not sure when I will be back. Hopefully May or June.
I will ask my son to take some pictures for me. Give me a few days to pull it together.

PM me your email and I will create and share a Google folder with you as it is a lot of steps to resize and post them here.

Re: PE-95 For Sale (Long Island NY)
I am slowly finding photos of the unit. As I do I am posting them onto a Google drive. Anyone can PM me their email address and I will send you the link to look at them as it is time consuming to resize them and post them here. They are all close-ups so far, though.
I found photos from five years ago when I cut the head for more compression. Still runs on 87 octane but reduced fuel consumption when running under load as a generator. I found a photo of the engine serial number. It is RMC65286.

Re: PE-95 For Sale (Long Island NY)
I will pass, I need a WWll unit with a WWll engine.
If anybody is interested and cant get to Long island, I go out there to the Montauk lighthouse area at least twice a year, possibly bring back to NE PA

Adm, I appreciate the interest. What did the engine number translate to? I was told that this unit dated to 1944.
I will still post more photos to my Google drive as I am able to get them. If anyone is interested in seeing them, PM me your email and I will provide you with access.

I just saw sjlbert's reply. So this unit was repowered, then? What year is the M38 engine?

Re: PE-95 For Sale (Long Island NY)
Engine is some where between 1950 to 52, serial number is 65K, I have seem them up to 112K. Dont know how many they made.
The wiring schematic posted here matches what would be in a PE95G or H. cant read it that close, Date in lower right looks like 43. You can probably read it on the original picture before resizing. Front panel matches a G, not the later PE95K with a contract number with a -51 that usually have the R or MC engines in them.
What does the nameplate above the radiator outlet on the outside panel say it is, PE95-G?
and a order number with a -43 or-45 or Phila-51.

I am in Florida so can't answer that but for some reason the G sounds familiar.
