PE 95 G also almost done/ Final needs.

Post by matt506 » Tue Feb 02, 2016 1:42 pm

Ok Im right behind Mike on my restoration ( which by the way is very motivating and looks Awesome) I need a few small parts to get it going. Ive decided not to start it until I get it almost all together. Here are the parts I need,

1 electric exhaust governor rod to carburetor plus clips
2 Electric heat cutoff switch ( mine broke right at the wire mount) :?
3 Rubber fuel line or at least the ends to compare for building a new one
4 fuel bowl / strainer under gas tank
5 start relay that mounts on back of dash.
6 fuel line pump to carb
7 oil drain pipe support clamp
8 top battery support bracket
These should put me at 95% done. Also any dimensions on the wood battery support blocks. I burned mine thinking they were bubba add on stuff
thanks Matt

Hi Matt,

Reading through your list, may I make a suggestion on a few of them?

The choke rod can be fabbed up from round stock in that size. It's not a complicated piece if you can't get a used one. Clips are a NAPA item.

I'm not sure where the rubber line would be. I plumbed all steel line for mine, no rubber at all. Go to NAPA and get a 20" piece of pre flared 3/8" brake line for the pump to carb. Get a bender and fab it up to fit. I used that for mine, as it has the correct bead flared ends for high pressure. Fits perfectly.

Pump to tank was a long brake line 1/4" for that one. Again bend as necessary and has correct beaded flare for high pressure.

Fuel bowl can be one from Tractor Supply. Looks the same as far as I see

I didn't go with two 6V batteries for cost reasons. I am making my own hold down and wood bottom to fit. I may change my mind for originality, but the battery I have cost me nothing right now.

Mike,
You are correct I just thought maybe if a few of these parts were out there.....
Would you happen to know the length and dia for the rod? Ill get the clips tonight. I do have the rubber line in bulk but i just need to know what ends to crimp on, otherwise im going your route with steel. Thanks a ton. Matt
