PE-95 generators / parts for sale

Post by ANDY » Thu Jun 30, 2011 4:00 pm

Hello, I have 3 semi complete pe-95's that I plan on parting out and scrapping. One is ww2 and the others are later years. Two have complete shrouding, one of those was working 10 years ago. I am keeping the engines... Anybody interested in any parts off these, please email me at aponcic@aol.com. Thanks

Dear Andy,
I need some parts. What would you want for a gas cap, the battery tray, and the sadle parts baxes if they have them. I cant tell from the pics. You may want to offer the 95 on wheels as a single unit. It looks complete and if I had the cash, I'd make an offer. THe WWII units are becoming collectable, especially for those of us that collect radios, those that reenact "behind the lines" scenes, or those who are preparing for society to go all Mad Max. If you post it for sale, I know several guys here on the G will respond to you. Just keep that in mind. I just hate to see these old gensets go to the scrapyard, esp since I am struggleing to restore mine.

Email sent; I need a good chassis, fuel tank, covers and control panel parts to restore my very early PE-95 which is SERIAL NUMBER 43, really! It was cannibalized and a victim of rust so it is a challenge to keep from the scrap pile, but worth the effort being it is so early. IMO TIA David

Andy, I have two and need side covers. Early models with Ford GP motors. I want to keep one and one can go to another restorer. Any interest in selling a set of side panels or trading for parts for yours? Thanks Russ Morgan

I am not aware of any gensets or any other stationary unit which used Ford GP or GPW motors. These units were produced by Willys, not Ford.

The Ford engines were model ONY, 119.7 cubic inches displacement, not GP.

Hello Carter.

A GP motor is a ONY 119.7 cubic inch motor. The things that makes it a GP is the serial number and a GP cast in raised letters inside the motor block as far as the base motor block is concerned. Otherwise the basic GP block is interchangeable with a base generator block of the early PE 95 or a pick-up motor block.

I have serviced WWII Issue PE-95 Generators with MB, GPW and M-38 era blocks, all installed by the US at Depots. The PE-95 Series Generators were manufactured during WWII by Merrit O' Keefe and Onan the majority were powered by Jeep engines.
