PE 95 G for sale

I have for sale a Signal Corps Power Unit Model PE 95 G Serial #2424 military generator with the Willys motor. The motor turns over by hand, but I have not started or tested the unit. What I know about wwii PEs would fill a thimble. But, I find it interesting there is a 3 prong grounded receptacle in the control panel of this generator?

Not impossible with Post War use, The PE-95 was used thru the 70's by the armed services and there is nothing to prevent civilian users to change parts.

Clean PE-95 Generators are the best potential source for good clean dependable Jeep engines. Most have intact low wear engines that have run at a governed 1800 RPM without the abuse of 70 years of unknown driving habits and tampering by backyard mechanics.

Think the buyer would sell any left over parts? I would love to have the control panel and a few of those cover panels. If I gave you my info could you forward it to them? Matt

You might try contacting Jim at ActionFours@cs.com. That's the buyer, but I think it's going overseas. It's due to be picked up from me this coming Friday morning.

I had a similar unit in more-or-less working condition.

I am dis-appointed that these intact complete units are broken up the get the engine.
They are, to my mind, of value and military history in themselves and deserve preservation as such.

To break up a restorable unit like this is bordering on vandalism.

BTW, my unit when to a military radio enthusiast who intended to use it as part of a large WW2 radio set, he was delighted that it worked.

My 2 cents worth.
