PU58-G Genset with Post War Modification

Postby Adam » Fri Jun 29, 2012 1:35 pm

Just picked this up, tag on generator says something about modifications. Other than a cylinder head and ignition system, anybody have any ideas as to what is not 1945 ish about this unit?

What is with the oil pressure from the engine, tee-ing into the bottom of the regulator box?

Inside the regulator chassis is the low oil pressure cut off switch (a PENN type switch). Also there is a high water temperature cut off switch at that location.
