Do not forget that early M-Series Jeeps had Plastic Headlamps. (M-38, also)

Yes they did; where do you buy them now? For sure, don't guess.

Got some GI hands on experience with them, changed originals out to glass on early 50's M-37's, M-38's and 5 Tons. They would craze, crack, split open, moisture would turn the reflective material black. They were crap as the light they emitted was dimmer than those with lenses, even when new. I also stocked NOS Chrysler boxed complete M-37 Headlamp Assys. at my business, gave a few to friends in the business and sold the last of the plastic bulbs for $300.00 per pair to serious M-37/M-38 Collectors. AutoLite 24V sealed beams, plastic or glass, command a big premium Where did I get them? From Supreme Surplus, Firestone Motors, Mott Haven, back in the 60's thru 80's. Where do I get them from now? Nowhere, they are virtually extinct. I may still have a couple, not sure tho.
I don't have to guess, been at this forever and have done business with all the old big time Surplus parts dealers.
