Hi,
In an M38A1, does anyone know where the radio power cables are attached, what cables, and how there are routed?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Radio power source location
It was years ago but I was able to find a radio power install kit for my M38A1.
Right behind the right side of the passenger seat just below the door opening is where the three pin power plug should go. (One of the pins is not used.) There is a right angle bracket that has two mounting holes that holds the plug. I had the two matching mounting holes already there on the passenger outside of the body! The other part of the 90 degree bracket has a large hole for the power plug to fit through and then a retaining ring threads over the top of it to keep it in place.
Two large wires came out the back of the plug and run right below the lip of the door. The wires are held in place by one hole straps. Looking at the length of the wires and seeing how far they would run, the ground made it to the bottom of the battery box where I attached it with a bolt. The positive was long enough to go all the way to the positive battery terminal.
