M170 Axe Length?

Post by Brachus » Sun Mar 26, 2017 1:59 pm

Is the axe for the M38A1, the same for the M170?

If I measure from the bottom of the axe head bracket to the fender on our M170, its about 29in.

I see the M38A1 axes are 28, but is that including the head? or just the handle?

You can look all you want, but the Axe for the M-38A1, M-170 is the same specification 4# 41A-1277 Axe as used on the MB and M-38 and fit the stowage brackets just right.
