Engine running rich

Post by tnspd » Mon Jul 25, 2016 4:36 pm

The original engine in my M38A1 is running really rich. How do I adjust it so it is not so rich?

There is a good chance that the diaphragms in the carburetor are overage and cracked. If this is so, a rebuild is in order.

So is there a rebuild kit for these and where do I get one?

Kits are available from most of the vendors in Supply Line or MV magazine.

My understanding is this model is kind of tricky to rebuild. I sent mine off to have it done years ago.
