M-38A1 IMPROVEMENTS

M-38A1 Jeeps rarely, if ever, suffer from Vapor Lock due to the routing of the fuel lines and the "Cast -n head" intake manifold. A real plus with today's E-10 fuel blend. Been driving M-38A1's since the 50's and have not experienced vapor lock.

The "F"-Head design allows the well tuned M-38A1 to start instantly in what seems to be a split second, no need to churn the starter over and over. Previous MB/GPW and M-38 take just a bit longer.

I noticed this with ours. Once I got things sealed up and adjusted the valves it seemed to start almost instantly as compared to my brother's M151 A2 which will crank a bit before it catches.

Well tuned M-38A1 can be a going machine compared to earlier Willys 4 Cyl Jeeps. My M-38A1 at idle sounds like she is chomping at the bit.
