Are there any good online sources for original restoration?

Post by Heisenberg » Mon Oct 12, 2015 7:34 am

(Sorry in advance, my brain is lagging this morning)

Recently I was gifted a "half restored" '52 M38A1 from my Dad. He has three very informative books ( Ordnance 9 I believe they're titled) but I was wondering if there are any great online sources as well that are just all around helpful on these jeeps. Especially with restoring.

Thanks in advance!

First off congrats on your Jeep! Your best bet of information is www.willysmjeeps.com. Wes has a lot of information on the M-series jeep. Also if you ever have any questions, put up a post here. The guys on this page have a lot of knowledge on these jeeps and are glad to help out. Also what month was your jeep built?

Thank you! I'm already signed up and approved.
I will have to get back with you on the month. I'm in college full time and cleaning my dads garage so I can gather all of the parts, including the data plates.

Mr. Heisenberg,

For free downloads of Dutch and American M38A1 manuals take a look at crosswolf.nl a more than fantastic Dutch M38A1 website.
