is it possible to put a PTO on a m38a1?(like the cj2a)

Yes and count the PTO teeth on the back of the hub of the gear behind the transmission. The gear count should be the same as the PTO for CJ-3A. CJ-5 is different.

Yes, I have one currently on ebay that came off a M38A1. It was for a front driven winch, but also could power something to the rear
