Funny thing is Shell call these type folk 'Technical Advisors & Technical Support Specialists' not Engineers.
Shell letterhead or copy of e-mail communications needed before the statement is taken with other than a grain of salt.
There are more guys with old Jeeps in the US using Rotella than don't, from what has been posted on here over the years.
Only one G503 guy had problems & these were of his own making.
He achieved these by using Rotella in an old, tired L134 engine that was full of internal sludge.
It did a great job @ what it was supposed to do....cleaning the inside up!
Posts on this type topic specifically advise to never do so.

TO DIAGNOSE, TROUBLESHOOT OR FAULT FIND ANY AUTO SYSTEM....
Understand how system parts interact with one another. GOOD parts can then be established & the NOT GOOD problem/s part/s isolated for repair or replacement.
