M38A1 floor patch panels

Postby 69MarkIII » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:44 pm

I'm working on a rusty '53 M38A1. I see someone reproduces the front floorpans, but is there a company that makes the rear cargo area and the tool box under the passenger seat? Got some weldin' to do.

I'm not tracking any M38A1 specific repro panels for the rear deck just yet. I know John Bizal of Midwest Military told me they would have some "soon." You may want to source an old tub out west in the meantime. I've found a few on craigslist for about $500 that have good floors. You may even be able to just swap the body.

If someone knows of a repro company that makes the rear decks, please let us know.

I got a rear floor panel from Lamont at Classic Enterprises......so far its been a good choice although I'm still not through or have the tub back on the frame....but it fit up nicely and everything looks like its going to be aok.
