Are you doing it in USA markings?
Most of the decals such as Bell Housing Drain Plug, The small lettering on the guage panel, the black decal for battery ground cable, and air cleaner bonnett, are shown on various pages of TM9-8014. There were no other except 1"TP-25 and Max Fueling Rate and unit markings for the bumper. Later on some vehicles had warning to secure hood in open position stenciled on the inside. Original USA Reg was in 2" with 1" between lines. On the M-38A1 the bottom of the numbers rested at the level of the top opening of the fording hose cut out.
The Gas Can Strap was 1 1/2".

The major difference will be the registration number. I remember a photo or two in the Olyslager book series by Bart Vanderveen of a Canadian M-Series Jeep registration. Does your M-38A1 still have the original canvas in the special Canadian shade of OD?
The M-38A1 Canadian Technical Orders I have had access to depict the Canadian version of the Data Plates with all the same decals as the U.S version except for the CDN3 that has a Battery Cover Decal referring to the Alternator, and a different Battery Cover Caution Decal for the CDN2 with Alternator.
If this were the early to mid 70's period, the M-38A1 decals and blank data plates could be ordered directly from Jeep by part number.

i verified with two other Canadain units
and you are perfectly right. Added stickers for the alternator. Slightly different placement for the fording sticker ,but overall all is pretty well the same ......

thank you
