Re: Operation Longhorn
I totally agree Scott. Those kind of people are on the local news almost every night bitching about commercial development, road projects, etc.
The best was the folks that didn't want to look at a cellular communications tower next to them. I bet they want good cell-phone reception though.
This is a direct link to the newsreel lampasasmuseum was kind enough to bring to our attention.

Re: Operation Longhorn
I was going thru my dads Army photo album and there are pages of photos labeled "Longhorn". Looks like mostly convoy stuff. I can try scanning some if anyone is interested.

Somewhat related, this shows the aggressor forces with the helmets. From 1953

Re: Operation Longhorn
Anyone interested in seeing a scan of a rulebook from Longhorn? Found one in my Dads stuff along with a bunch of pics of his convoy to Texas......

Re: Operation Longhorn
Thanks Rodney. I knew that link was there, I just don't use an online photo service so I'd need someone to post them for me.

Re: Operation Longhorn
A little 50's Jeep history from yester year, M-38 fans take note of the near factory fresh appearance of the M-38 Jeeps and the pre 1956 original U.S.A. Registrations prior to the change to U.S. ARMY.
