Thanks to REG, I found this photo from a link he provided on another forum.
Water cans that look to marked with a white stripe, and another color stripe below the white.
The letters G, and F may refer to the Company that has possession of the can.

Yes REG you are correct.
I was thinking it had a slot for the strap, instead of the footman's loop.
Too lazy to check reference material shall be my defense. :oops:
