Distributor Hole

Post by bazookajoe » Sat Sep 30, 2017 5:38 am

I recently acquired a nice distributor for an m-38 marked Superior Magneto company and there is a 1/4" hole in the outer cap with a grommet in it near the points. I have never seen this manufacture before and was wondering what that hole was fore and should it be there?

The hole should be threaded and it is for use with the Electrical Test Kit. It allows access to the primary lead wire. There is aa test adaptor that is installed in that hole.
