battery amps ?

in the process of replacing the batteries in my m/38 they are both 12 volt but are of different amps one is 600 amps the other is 750 would there be any malfunction with this combination ? Thanks to all that reply. newton

NO. Not a problem.
The batteries are in series to produce 24 volts, which this combination will.
Likewise, the cranking amps are the sum of the two. In your case 1350 CCA as opposed to 1500 CCA for two 750 amp batteries in series or 1200 CCA for two 600 amp batteries in series.
You might notice a difference on a sub zero winter morning first start.
Mostly has to do with that military thing.

Are they both new :?: Should be just fine if they are. Never run an old battery with a new one when they are run in series. Batteries should be replaced as a pair. Even when run parallel, they should be replaced as a pair unless each battery is isolated from discharging the other via a diode.

yes the batteries are new and it does start very well had a hard time finding the right size to fit in the battery trays. and that is were my different amps came in to play . thanks to all that replyed newton
