M151 Motor found
I found this M151 motor in an old trailer. Don't know much about its history or year of manufacture....I'm more of a flat fender guy. Anyone know more about it based on the provided numbers?

Re: M151 Motor found
That appears to be an NOS 151-A1 engine. Were there any marking on the box or any other parts in the box like the carb or distributor or flywheel. These were usually packed separately in the box around an engine. If it is the original box there should be markings on it. When Ken the Mutt guru sees this he will be able to interpret the numbers for a date but can you tell us the rest of the contract number on the damaged tag? It looks to me to be a 1972 contract. Green engine with two groove pulleys so it is definitely A1. The later replacement engines came black and had all A2 stuff on them with three groove pulleys and a blueprint with directions on how to convert it to A1 if needed.
