Location of data plates

Post by DBHIGHLANDER » Sat Jun 11, 2016 9:15 am

I have the" TRUCK,UTILITY:1/4 TON,4X4,M151" data plate, I do not know where it was mounted on the M151 . Also the website for ordering decals for my MUTT shows the caution do not over fill on a yellow background. When I got my 61 the lettering was in white letters painted on the OD side.
Do I need to put it on a yellow background or can I put it on the OD Paint? The Unit numbers on the back bumper were put on with 1" letters. they are very small and hard to see. Would it be safe to use 2" letters?

Please advise as I am almost done with the restoration.
