Hey guys, so I picked up some sup armor doors and they needed new paint. I used the 383 Gillespie paint to use as the under coat but figured I would stick to the original paint scheme. But now the 383 is starting to grow on me and thinking of making the whole hmmwv green. Maybe even just redoing the NATO camo using this green instead of the green that's on it now. What you guys think?

Great looking Supplemental doors. Need a set myself. I'm partial to the SCAPP personally, but they all look good and I hope to own one in each color on day. Have two in SCAPP now, going for tan next. Solid green is an Air Force "pattern" isn't it? It'll look great that way too. No help at all was I?

The Gillespie paint is easy to apply, but after a year and a half, it starts to powder. Still way better than the Averoe Paint that would start to turn red after a couple of years.

The sup armor doors are much better then the regular x doors. X doors are so flimsy and rattled like crazy.
I didn't know the Gillespie paint didn't hold up all that well. I'm a fair weather Driver with the hmmwv and she sleeps in a garage, I would assume the paint will hold up much better and longer cause of that?

Yes, if you don't have it out doors 24/7 it will stay better longer.

Well I decided to go with the original paint job and switched out the 383. I think I looks really good.
