The overhead gantry and chain fall will make this job easier. It has come in handy with all the M274 mule work do date including the rework and setting of the 106mm RR on the deck.

Here is the 6.5l engine. Great condition and ready to drop in once I secure the lifting bracket.

Here is the 1200 lb new green box. The gantry was used to hoist it from the bed of my pick up.

Make shure to pull the glow plugs and look for clycol inside. If there is some then you probably have a blown head gasket. It's better to find out before you install the engine. Oh and the head bolts are one time use only so don't reuse them.

Thanks for the heads up George. I am happy to report, glow plugs pulles and no sign of antifreeze! More to follow.

You could always bolt up the starter, jump it to two batteries and do a compression check with the glow plugs out as well.
