Thanks. Most importantly you need to have the correct torque converter(correct stall speed, etc.) if you are running the stock 4L80e tranny.
I was farting around with the hummer when I first got it back after the cummins install and I smoked the tranny! I was in limp mode all the way home, about 50 miles at about 35mph.
Eventually, I will install an Allison 6 speed. Two more gears for better highway cruising. It kinda sucks when you are doing 70mph and the engine is turning about 2500-2600 rpm. Overall I love the cummins! Stays nice and cool (185-190 all day long), low maintenance and very east access to whatever engine work that needs to get done.

What are the specs of the Cummins engine.
And in which trucks where they installed

Replaced my hood with a civi hood that was in a little better shape than my previous hood. It turned out nice.

Also installed a hood reinforcement kit and added an IR round light to the drivers side front.

Nice job
But what are the differences between those hoods

The civi hood has a locking latch mechanism and there are additional marker lights underneath the front turn signals.

So the marker lamp under the front turn signal was removed and the mounting hole was filled in. The hood safety brackets were left.

Started to remove the old residual adhesive left over from the interior roof insulation. What a pain but necessary!
I used WD40 and a razor blade.

Here is a pic of the adhesive from just 1/4 of the roof.
It's much cleaner, at least now I can install some new roof insulation.
I was thinking about putting some dynamat first then the roof insulation on top of the dynamat.
