If your trying to get the glue off the roof that held the old foam crap on . I used a vibrating multi tool with a basically a sharpened old worn out plate that I sharpened like a putty knife.
It was super fast

Almost done, just have an A1 winch plate but should still work with the Ibis Tek ram bumper. Then onto removing the hood and installing the EcV nose and hood

Re: Hummer H1 to Pseudo M998 Wagon top
So I got some aluminum blocks for the body lift. The lift is needed to clear the tall 6bt cummins. It’s slowly coming along.

Re: Hummer H1 to Pseudo M998 Wagon top
How tall is your body lift? I'm finishing up a three inch body lift on an ECV Cooling Stack Truck and am lifting the nose only two inches and then the hood another one inch above that to keep the nose and hood, who's hinges are bolted to it from moving around too much. I have seen many ECV trucks with cracked splash shields so there is movement between the air lift brackets and nose even with a standard setup. This will make the hood move around quite a bit due to the rubber hood latching setup. Do you have any ideas on how to limit any problems in regards to this?

Re: Hummer H1 to Pseudo M998 Wagon top
The original lift was 3 and 5/8 inches. That was needed because of the 6bt cummins. My splash guards ar still in excellent shape no cracking.
I am putting the lift blocks below the ECV nose and the hinges will not have any spacer because I want to minimize the gap between the nose and hood. I don’t know anything about the hood flexing and causing cracking on the splash guards. Interesting, once I get to that point I’ll let you know. Thanks
