I always wondered about those rear hatch windows. From here, it looks like the only thing you will see is a semi behind you.

 A semi is what I would be worrying about. Don't you think?
The foto of the inside is in a position as if turning my head around and looking back. I have another shot that shows an angle as if looking through a rear view mirror and it does give a better angle for cars behind this vehicle, but not by much. My garage is not level so the Humvee was in a bit of a nose down position. There is an old Dodge Challenger directly behind the Humvee and it's up on blocks and would not be seen at all, but the top of the roof of the old full sized Chrysler that is beside that, whould just be visible. I'll just have to be carefull when backing up.

I think I'm going to be lucky and not have to alter the Humvee body or drill too many new holes to use the CIVI Slantback. Here are a couple of shots of what I call the Sill Plate. The striker for the hatch lock is recessed within it and you can also see that I will need fillers for the side of the opening. Those are coming soon. The first foto also shows how I cut out the rear panel from the roof assy. I carefully cut it out with a Sawzall and finished the edges with a disk grinder and sand paper for a smooth finish. I'm going to make the rear panel able to be bolted in place again if I want to switch back to a pick up version. By the way, the rear panel, which is steel, with the rear widow included weighed a wopping 45 lbs.

This shot shows how it fits nicley on top of the tops of the ribs in the bed. I should only have to drill holes to rivet this piece in place. No cutting!

Hi Freddie, you're looking at the back end of a '70 Chrysler 300 Convertible. Don't tell Ted, but it's hood is being used as storage place for a Challenger hood among other things. :o

Gotto love them ole Dodge's/Chrysler's. So let see, Freddie, George and me all have hmmwv's and Challengers (new and or old), who else? Oh, if you need the O3 machine again, let me know. :P

Nice doors George! Your truck will be an awesome machine and it will tow your M1101/2 to Tower Park nicely! :)
