t -90 conversion, two output shafts to rear??

Postby f bil l » Sat Nov 06, 2004 8:36 am

Hey guys, maybe someone here remembers better than I do. I read on the net about someone who made a tracked or tandem jeep and used the t-90 with a cj transfer case and somehow made the tc have two rear output shafts? Does anyone know anything about that conversion? I know the WWII 6x6 trucks used a similar tc.. But what make and model?

It's for the 6x6, of course. The other option is the jackshaft/chain drive off the front diff to the rear, but that's kinda weak. Also probably not too accurate.

No rare or impossible to get mint parts will be hurt , embarassed,or damaged in this conversion. . Only scrap or junk parts need apply. This stunt should not be attempted at home

Yeah, Been to that website before.. They make real neat drive thru rearends.. The pinion shaft continues right thru the rear to the next one.If I wanted to make a modern tandem I'd go there for sure.

But I'm looking to do it like I think they did back in WWII. Two rear driveshafts.

Thanks anyway!
