Hey Oz
Me neither. Obviously the shots are from the end of the war. Wonder when they started to apply the 'go faster' stripes :) Plus the armoured screens.

Those windscreens seem to lean back quite a bit. Wonder how many troops banged their noses on them, i know i would have.

Hello,

Beautiful video !!
Thanks for posting,
The Constabulary was well equipped !

The jeeps and armored cars usually were blue and the stripes yellow .
They were in Germany and Austria as well.
Set up for occupation duties right after the war was over to maintain law and order,
and to man the border crossing points, opposite the Russians.

It looks like those windshields were moved forward so should have had enough space in there for taller troops :D :D :D

I wonder if anyone has restored their jeep as a Constabulary jeep ?
It would look pretty nice, and be a rarity as far as restorations go .

Maybe that is an idea for the future.... I did know two Veterans that went into the Constabulary after their combat service in France and into Germany.

Their nickname for the Constabulary was " Circle C Cowboys " based on their logo painted on the equipment.

Best Regards,

Ray
