Electronic Ignition with IGC4705
I am rebuilding an IGC4705 for a VEP GPW. I just began research on the appropriate e-ignition module for that dizzy and I can't seem to nail that down. I see lots of folks running them in the IAD 4008, but no mention yet for the IGC4705.
I've looked through dozens of threads with little luck, and pertronix lists an application for a 1951 Willy's with Autolite IGC 4 cyl systems.
I was wondering if this is good for the VEP GPW application
Pertronix Igniter Model 2541 or the Igniter II Model 92541

No I have not installed a 2541 but you got me interested.
I looked up the listing on your post for pertronix and like you, the only IGC listing I found was under 1951 Willys, IGC all. ??
I did a search for Pertronix 2541 and found a listing with a picture.
The 2541 replaces the entire point plate. Not just the points and condenser, with an electronic pick up on the original plate.
Makes me think this is what you want since the original points spring, on the IGC connected to fixed terminal inside with the connector terminal on the out side. That would be in the way and need to go.

Here is an image of the 2541 and the 92541 and the table with the differences between the I and II. Ot looks like they run both wires through the rain gasket that slips over the secondary connector ont he distributor post. Since I am a while away from actually installing an engine I would be unable to test this for a while. Amazon sells the I for $105 and the II for $150.
They do not offer the III model for this application which has an LED to aid in timing. I have that sort of set up on my WLA and it takes out some of the guess work.

It looks to me like the 2541 Ignitor I is available in 6vdc negative ground under the part number 2541N6, but I don't see a 6vdc variant of the more advanced 92541 Ignitor II. Did anyone find an Ignitor II that would work in our 6vdc jeeps?

The notes, (55,56,79) are as follows
55: igniter version available in 6V negative ground
56: igniter version available in 6V positive ground
79: not for use with solid core spark plug wires
The columns to the left of the engine and year model indicates that the I and II are available, just not the III.
Does anyone know if the spark plug wires with the 90 degree elbow sold by RJF are solid core wires?

When you remove the original point plate, you will lose the terminal sticking out the side of the distributor body.
Your comparison chart says the "Ignitor" is not compatible with low resistance coils. Think that will catch an original jeep coil. On some of the old tractors I installed an "Ignitor" on, I had to replace the coil as well.
Original wires were solid core. I have seen aftermarket, carbon core. Have to ask Ron what he sells.

I installed the 2541 on my 12 volt converted MB and used Pertronix's internal resistance blaster coil with it. Runs great. I had to run the wires through the hole in the side of the distributor where the mini bulk head wire fitting goes and put a sleeve of heat shrink on them to protect from chaffing. The only difference that I was told between the 2541 and the 92541 is that if you leave the ignition turned on with the engine not running, you will burn out the 2541 module and the 92541 was an updated unit so that will not happen. I am running carbon core wires on mine as well. The TECH support at Pertronix are great people and will answer all your question.

If the wire sets are not suppressor core that Ron sells, you can order a universal 4 cylinder set from O'Reillys, cut to length with 90* angled spark plug boots, black 7mm wires. BWD is the brand, RH11 is the part number.

I bought a used Pertronics here several years ago for a GPW. Since the GPW wasn't operating at the time and I needed to get my '55 Willys 6 cylinder running better for plowing I wondered whether I could put the Pertronics unit in the Super Hurricane. I called the Pertronics tech line and they told me what to do and I've been running with it ever since. Assuming they still have a tech line I would suggest starting there. It might be as simple as your distributor not being listed.
