You are absolutely correct, Jerry.
Here is a bit more history trivia for you.
Before Ferguson was just Ferguson, they were, Ford Ferguson.
You got it, Henry and Ferguson teamed up. The engine was Ford and the rear section was Ferguson.
The relationship did not last. The two split ways.
Ford kept the engine and put there own rear end on it. Became the 2N, 9N and 8N tractors.
Ferguson kept the rear part. Transmission, differential & axles and Hydraulics. Used a Continental engine. Became, you guessed it, the TO-20 & TO-30 tractors. There was also a TE-20 and TE-30.
