There are publications out there, Google "RARE WW2 Jeep Photo Archive" and you will find one for $10 on ebay.
The current owner (England) has done a well photo'd publication on it and the 6x6 jeeps.

Of course Abe books sells one new for $68 RARE WW2 JEEP: PHOTO ARCHIVE 1940-1945; RARE WW2 JEEP: PHOTO ARCHIVE - FOLLOWING ON NO 1: THE WILLYS T-28 HALF-TRACK AND 6X6 MT-TUG.

Or are you seeking someone to tell you if what you found is an original?

No, I'm looking for and information leading to the fabrication of a copy. Do you know of any examples in the U.S.

The OP - "jeepster47" is my youngest son. He is new to the G and while he has helped restore his 47CJ2A, which he drove for three years to high school (rain, snow, or shine), he is just getting into the hobby. He has been around half-tracs and flat fender jeeps his entire life. Now it seems he is looking to combine them.
Thanks for any help.

My neighbor owned it for a while a long time ago just after it was found in the junkyard. He was telling me about it not long ago....glad to see the fellow in England restored it.
