The hole I blocked is the one on the lower left if you are looking at the oil pump flange on the block if you looking at it from the bottom.

I started with a real late 7.0 to 1 head and cut off .040, gave me 7.8 to 1 with the over bore.

Thought about the genny carbs but need the airflow if I want any more power. I am going to put some aluminum between the manifold tubes and exhaust manifold to transfer some heat.

Good morning, have a question here. You went from a bypass filter (where the restriction was created at the filter housing) to a full flow, were are you now getting your "restriction" in the system in order to create your oil pressure?

Well I seem to answer my own question after I post it, kinda a** backwards, lol. I would have to say the restriction (PSI) in the full flow system is now created from all the bearing clearances in the system, sorry to create a confused look.

Well after screwing around with two WOs over the past few months I just could not get around a carb venturi freeze over problem. So went t two YFs. problem solved and more power to boot due to more CFM available. I have been running a single YF for years and should have just went that way in the first place. Idles perfect, still easy to crank start with the pop of one cylinder and looks pretty cool. I'll post some pictures if anyone is interested.

Very interesting read, could you post some more pics/udates? This is a good mix of my "inner retro-gasser" and love of the WWII jeep! 8)

One thing to remember is that the Go-Devel in my jeep has 7.8 to 1 compression, full porting on the block including filling the poor undercutting of the valve seats with epoxy to get the flow right in the ports. Ported F-head exhaust manifold and 1-7/8 exhaust system
Hello

Do you have pictures of the valve seat modifications? Thank you.
