Why bother paying anyone?
Some of us do things to help other members, without reward. Look @ all Jon from JeepDraw does?
The company in Reno who used to do these closed their doors recently & packed it in.

The drawings of these plates are free & the CORRECT thickness plate is used unlike some others, plus they are designed to be idiot proof & can't be fitted wrong i.e. all 4 are interchangeable in any way as long as they are indexed back 1 bolt hole on the hub mountings.
I will give anyone my drawings for free or you can get them on Jeepdraw....if he has put them up.

Any waterjet company will do these out of 1/2" plate for peanuts <$30, if you negotiate wisely/properly.

Hi Zach,
I sent you an email, good luck with your conversion!

I chose to use 3/8 plate because its cheaper and more easily found by ordinary people. Water jets can cut it faster = cheaper. If someone wants to use a plasma cutter and a drill, they won't have to spend all day with tooling either. Also, its a simple thing to shim with washers to compensate for using lighter material. Don't tell me shimming is bad, the aerospace industry uses it extensively (i.e. the planes you fly on), and I know firsthand.

BTW, check the picture of the brackets on a water jet garnet bag above - all 4 brackets are identical and completely interchangeable. Never said they weren't.

This is sort of a brag, but I can't help it :) I had a great Christmas break, visiting family and my Jeep in Eastern Wa. On New Years day I made some capstans for my windshield, re-bent my windshield pivots, and was finally able to put my real canvas top up!! Best way to start off the new year!!

Image

Since Ray's video isn't accessible, I've started putting together some clips of myself and my younger brother slamming on the brakes in different conditions. Hopefully I can get that up soon too, at a suitable location for everyone who wants to see!

Wishing all a happy new year filled with Joy and Jeeping!

*EDIT Feb 2015:

Here it is, somebody tell me if this link works: A few stops in the rain on wet pavement. Highest speed for these clips was the top of 2nd gear...

Hi,
I´m Sebastian Varas from Chile.
Excellent forum, I always check it but this is my first time posting.
I am in the process to convert my Flatfender to front discs.
Any idea where I can get the Sideckick to Willys caliper mounts ?
Or maybe a file that I can print to cut them here (Chile) ?
Thanks

I have gathered all the parts needed to do the "upgrade" to the front my jeep.
I was not happy with having to get custom made hoses.
I did some digging around and found some off the shelf hoses.
They are Metric on both ends so, I made steel lines with SAE on one end and Metric on the other.

The Hose is from an 87-95 Isuzu NPR with front disc brakes.
Dorman.. H123792
Centric.. 150.76003

I hope this helps, with anyone thinking of doing the conversion.

Converted mine a couple years ago with Blazer parts (larger discs and calipers I'm sure). Stops great, but the pressure doesn't bleed off. Can't push vehicle by hand, but motor will move it. Stock master cylinder. Tried poking a hole in the check valve in master cylinder, now bleeds too much and have to pump brakes every time. Anyone have a solution? When first installed, I had a RPV on it, but never bled off enough to move the Jeep.
