Found some wheels. 15 inch, 5 on 5.5 with a 3.5 inch center hub hole. Going to put p23575r15 on them. Does this seem all in order? The wheels were on a late 70's early 80's F150.

The ford rims I had wouldn't clear the hub on the front and the PO torched them out to fit, so check fit first. 235 should fit, but I thought the 215 was a better width for a flatty.

Heh, I didn't read your last post before I posted. I should have... For myself, I like the look of the round holes in the wheels, and getting brand new powder coated rims was well worth the $50 each where I didn't have to invest time looking, trading, cleaning, and painting. Then the guy in the brown truck brought them straight to my door!

Results!!!
I found a set of wheels off of a old International Scout. 15x5 on 5.5 with a four inch center hole. $20 each in a salavage yard. Power washed them and gave a coat of OD paint. I put a set of P23575R15 on them. Also new springs from Ron all the way around. The clearence is good and they run smooth down the road without to much noise. Handling is MUCH better. I will post some pics this weekend.

I am looking at doing a flightline jeep (follow me) and wanted to put period 1940's civilian style tires on what would work best (size wise). Thanks.

600-16 civilian tread tires in early 1940's tread patterns are sold by most of the antique tire dealers. They usually cost more than NDT's though!
